While we’ve made CanvasYourHome as easy to use for our Homeowners as possible, we understand that you may still need a little help sometimes.

How to Sign Up

There are two ways that you can sign up for a Homeowner’s account at CanvasYourHome.com.

1. Simply go to the sign-up page here and fill out the form, and a new account will be created, and you will receive an email verification

2. Start a new project, and you will be signed up at the same time. Start by clicking on Interiors, Exteriors, or Services. This will take you to one of these 3 areas to find a pro for a project, where you can select the type of work or service you need done, for your home. Click to Select a Project Area first.

Then click to select everything you need for the project – and click the NEXT button:

Then answer a few quick questions – and click the NEXT button:

You will have completed signing up and submitting a project at the same time. And you will now be on the My Project page. You will receive an email about your project, with a link to it as well.

Creating a New Project

 

To create a new project either sign in to your account first or select from one of three areas to start your project, Interiors, Exteriors or Services

1. Sign in

Sign in to your Account

2. Select a new project are by clicking on Interiors, Exteriors, or Services. This will take you to one of these 3 areas to find a pro for a project, where you can select the type of work or service you need done, for your home. Click to Select a Project Area first.

Then click to select everything you need for the project – and click the NEXT button:

Then answer a few quick questions – and click the NEXT button:

If you have an account and you are signed into it, the contact information will be filled in. Otherwise you need to enter it. Then you can either sign in using your password, or select “I Want an Account” to set up a new account while submitting your project.

Once you have answered the questions, and either signed in, or created a new account, you will go to your My Projects page:

Finding your Matched Pros

When we find a Qualified Pro who matches your project, you will be notified by email. You can then click on the link in the email to view their information, or give them a call right away to set up a meeting. You also will see this Pro’s information on your My Projects page.

You can also sign in to your account, and if there is a matched Pro, they will also be listed in your My Projects Page:

At the bottom of your project is an area called My Matching Pros Where you will see the came information for Pros who match your project. Click on the Pro Name to learn more about them. When you have selected a Pro to work on your project, click on the Button that says “I’m working with this Pro.” This will mark your project as in-progress with this Pro.

 

Creating/Editing your Project Notes

 

You can create a Project Note, that Pros will be able to see on your project. Just type a note and click the Save Notes button:

Adding Photos and Drawings to Your Project

 

You can upload up to 4 photos, or drawings to the project. This will help Pros learn more about your project. The photos can be either JPEG images (like your phone or mobile device can take) or they can be PNG files, which is another type of image type that is common. Simply press the Browse button, and then select a photo or drawing to upload.

Then you can click to see the photo you uploaded. If you want to replace the photo you uploaded, just upload another one with the same exact file name. Or upload more photos or drawings.

Please Note you can only upload up to 4 total images.

 

 

 

Setting up a First Meeting

It’s important for your matched Pro to meet with you to provide you with an accurate quote for your project. It’s so important we wrote an article about it here:  Why do contractors have to come to my house to give me estimates?

When a Pro matches your project, they will send you a schedule note, via email, or they may call you, to set up your first meeting. If they send you a scheduling email, you can contact them via their information on that email (phone or email address) to arrange the meeting. Note that they may send you this again, if they do not hear from you, or they may call you, to arrange the meeting.

Selecting a Pro

You should meet with the Pros you are interested in learning more about and get Quotes from them, and then make a decision. Once you have done that, mark your progress as in-progress, by clicking the button that says “I’m working with this Pro.”

This will mark the project as in-progress. When the project is finished. You should mark it as closed by clicking on “Close Project.”
